One Vakaros account for every Vakaros app

Vakaros builds the Atlas family of GPS sailing instruments. This is the sign-in service that connects them to the apps sailors use on the water.

What Vakaros makes

Vakaros designs and sells sailing instruments — the Atlas 2, Atlas Edge and Atlas HALO RTK — which mount on a boat and record precise GPS position, speed and heading while sailing. Racers and coaches use that data on the water for live guidance, and afterwards to review how a race or training session actually went.

What this service does

auth.vakaros.com is the account system behind those products. It is not a product in itself: it exists so that one Vakaros account signs you in everywhere, rather than each app keeping a separate login. It handles:

Creating a Vakaros account, and signing in to it
Signing in with Google or Apple instead of a password, if you prefer
Verifying your email address and resetting a forgotten password
Issuing each Vakaros app permission to act on your behalf, so your instruments, sessions and settings follow you between apps and devices

Pair and configure your Atlas instrument, update it, and review the sailing sessions it has recorded.

Set race courses and run starting sequences for race committees, with the fleet's instruments kept in sync.

Signing in with Google or Apple

Signing in with Google or Apple is optional — an email address and password works just as well, and both lead to the same Vakaros account.

If you choose Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and we use them for exactly one thing: to create your Vakaros account and recognise you when you come back. We do not read your mail, contacts, files or calendar, we never post anything on your behalf, we do not sell or share this information, and we never see your Google or Apple password.
